3 Best Falafel London

Falafels area great vegetarian snack loved by veggies and meaties! Who can get them just right….? Crunchy on the outside, soft and moist on the inside with a delicious mix of herbs and spices – we give you our best 3 in London town. [Shails]

Just Falafel

From a single restaurant in Abu Dhabi, Just Falafel is ever expanding with 7 locations to date in and around London. What I love about this place is the different flavours you can add to the simple falafel sandwich or box –  try from Mexican (salsa), Italian (mozzarella & pesto), Japanese (wasabi) and many more…. The combination of fava beans, chickpeas, chia seeds, onion, garlic and special herbs & spices create falafels that are crunchy on the outside, warm and moist on the inside. Combined with the delicious sauces and crunchy pink (yes pink) pickles make these wraps disappear in minutes!

IMG_3612This establishment has been around for years and there are 5 locations in the city. These guys have been making traditional middle eastern food for years and you cannot go wrong with their falafel wrap, as original as they get. Crisp falafels, tangy pickles, tahini and salad in a tasty Lebanese wrap is great for a snack or a treat home after a night out. In addition to a vast menu they serve fresh fruit juices made to order. Maroush Express on Edgware Road is the no-frills version grab and go, the location on Vere Street is a nice sit down version.

IMG_3528This place is a weekly staple! The herby delicious crispy falafels with a moist centre covered in tahini are pretty much perfection. The hummus and salads that accompany the falafels are always fresh and plentiful and additions include aubergine and boiled egg. Choices are a fresh salad box or sandwich in soft whole wheat or white pita. Service here is friendly and a free falafel to munch on whilst you queue is a genius touch, a very satisfying lunch and great value for money!
